Hi Prakash,

I think this was shot under harsh light. The image is good, but you could have improved the tones in Photoshop using the levels and curves. I have done a very simple correction on the image (sorry for not taking your permission) by levels and curves, slight burning on the mountain and cropped it a little. Though the shadows were there, they do not add much to the image IMHO. This is only a quick job and if done carefully, the image can be improved further. I am posting the image below.

The cropping in the second one gives a feeling something is missing. A possible solution could be as below:

however, i liked sujith's image, since the eye immediately travels to the front hill and middle makes a leading line....since there is no more important or impressive element in front, except the reflections of trees....the focal point is made by the upper portion of the trees and the hill's line also lead the eye to this point.

ravish u gave more importance to the reflection of trees...my personal view.

Yes, Gopalji. In the second, the tree heads were cut off from the reflection so as one continues to look at the entire picture and the eye travels below, suddenlythe feeling is that had it been a little more extended. Also in the second, the dividing line goes through the middle, which violated the rule of thirds.

I see a good discussion happening. Let more inputs come in. Will comment again after that. Please keep the discussion going.

The sky is better in sujith's version.Sometimes going against the rules produces better appealing results. It is not that Ravish Image is bad.
